This new, purpose built MTB facility is set in the woodland overlooking the Mawddach estuary in southern Snowdonia and has been designed to provide a controlled and structured environment in which candidates can learn and practice mountain bike skills on set-piece obstacles before heading out onto the wealth of natural and cycle-specific riding available in the local area.

We have created a wide range of difficulty levels for each obstacle, so even intermediate riders will find something to test themselves. The course is designed specifically as a training facility and as such it will help riders span the skills gap between cyclist and mountain bike rider, and will complement the existing recreational cycling facilities provided by the Welsh Cycling initiative at Coed y Brenin, Corris and Machynlleth.

Our Mountain Bike Skills Course is an MTB training resource which is available to schools, youth groups and organisations as long as they are accompanied by a suitably accredited leader. Having a full range of difficulties, it is ideal for multi-level groups such as youth-clubs, where some members of the party could be experienced riders whereas others may be complete novices.
